Following the 2024 presidential election, Jim was moved to respond - to create something that would express our strong, positive values. He hit upon the idea of wearing a shirt that displayed - in bold print - INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER MATTER. At first, Paula thought it was a bit silly - that this would be viewed as virtue signaling and might elicit threatening responses. Boy was she wrong!

One of the first times Jim wore it was when we went to see an exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. While standing in the long, winding line of people waiting to enter the museum, numerous people came up to Jim to say “I really like your shirt”, or “Where did you get it…I’d like to get one”.

Another time, Jim wore the t-shirt when we were eating lunch out. Again, several people came up to him to inquire about the shirt and where to get it.

As one of them pointed out, the message is a positive statement of values, not a confrontational partisan statement. At that point, Paula realized that Jim had struck a very positive nerve.

And thus, IntegrityWear Clothing was born! We call the first shirt Paula’s Original, as it was actually her idea. We are regularly creating additions to our product line. Most importantly, we are a family-owned business dedicated to spreading positive messages about cherished and time-honored values.
